Hidden in a small street in the area of Budello in Alassio, this restaurant is a real tavern, with vaulted ceilings and tables made of wood and majolica. The hot colours of the walls are a perfect background to decorations, photos, old utensils and symbols, which evoke the past and present life of an old sea village.
The menu offers simple recipes, which are nonetheless created with great attention when choosing the typical products of tradition. You can choose between the famous "crostoni" with food from the lands or seas, the typical "bruschetta" with Colonnata lard or fish eggs, dishes with different types of cheese and cold cuts, grilled cheese and vegetables. We can also talk about the typical homemade pasta which can be combined with various kinds of pesto sauce: Genoese, with nuts, Sicilian. The Ligurian cuisine doesn't prepare only traditional dishes, you can actually find typical Roman, Sicilian or Campanian products such as the "babà" with limoncello, "cassata" or even "cannoli".
The wines are strictly homemade and the relation between quality and price is surely adequate: with about € 20 - 25 you can eat a delicious meal and drink a glass of wine.
