If you do not know the waters and especially if you're not posessing a PADI certificate, you may wish to apply to a diving school, to learn the techniques of diving or simply for advice on areas with better visibility and more calm waters, since the ocean can play tricks.

If you want to do a course to become PADI certified, we recommend the "Open Water Diver", which consists of 4 dives and a written examination. Once you pass the exam you will be able to dive without a guide, all over the world.

One area suggested by Saint Club is Padang Bay, a magnificent bay that can also be reached by taxi or scooter from Sanur. The sand is fine and white, and underwater visibility is great, the colors are gorgeous, as the flora and fauna: coral, sharks, turtles, octopus, fish, crocodiles and many hungry fish. Bring a piece of bread with you, and the fish will approach without fear.
