The charm of Mali is also (and above all) the diversity of cultures in the country. This reflects in a positive way in every artistic expression: that is music, theater, literature and crafts. That is to say from the point of view of "shopping" Mali offers many and famous possibilities.

Apart from the numerous and colorful markets that we have already mentioned (see "what to do - section"), we propose some workshops or places where to shop in the Malinese manner.

-Carrefour des jeunes: at the beginning of avenue Kassè Keita, in Place de la Liberté. It is a center which organizes courses on dance and traditional musical instruments (with professors of the Academy), concerts, courses and craftsmanship of each type, but you can buy the many products on display. Phone. +2224311

-INDIGO which stands for cultural Identity, Nobility of the tradition, Diversification, Innovation, quality assurance, Ouverture-opening to African cultures. Shop run by a nice couple of French-Malian handicrafts that offers classic (from textiles to masks, leather, musical instruments, paper, books, music) but also clothes and modern jewelry but very creative, using local materials and traditional techniques. It's open daily from 9 to 19:00, except Sunday. It is located in Place OMVS, immeuble Gadiaba, BP757 - phone: +2220893

-San Toro Gallery: The gallery is located inside the restaurant's with the homonymous name. We are on the border of the district of Missira with the district of Hippodrome. 'This is an organization created by Aminata Traore which was Minister of Culture in the current and previous government and has devoted and dedicated her life to the development of the country with great courage and determination. In the district of Missira she has, among other things, established a network of Malian women aimed at increasing their autonomy and self-determination through the management of some small businesses, crafts, etc. In the gallery are displayed and sold some works of the artists she supported but also bogolan, ceramics, carved doors, chairs, clothes and much more. It's worth going there if only for the setting and style, local and very beautiful. The gallery is open from 9 to 23:00 and is located at Route de Koulikoro - phone: +2213082.

-Yaya Coulibaly: We have already mentioned about the puppet theater, which is the most important thing in the culture of Mali. We add here the address: Projet Wèrèda on rue 326, ports 33 - cell.6721301 or +2230890. Magnambougou district.
