Casa Batlló is located in the main street of the Passeig de Gracia, which passes through the modernist barrio Eixample, is part of the works of Gaudi.
Like all the buildings of Gaudi, Casa Batlló moves away from its traditional architecture and fully captures the visitor for its original form, the quirky details of the facade and interior spaces.
The front of Casa Batlló is composed of sinuous undulations and balconies designed with curved lines. The top of the roof is curved and points out the back of an animal.
Casa Batlló, situated right in the midst of so many others houses, was an excellent opportunity to express, presenting it far from the urban context, the Catalan modernism to the entire population.
Casa Batlló was declared a World Heritage Site in 2005.
At night, the Casa Batlló looks like a fantasy dream, a transfiguration of reality.
Incredible!
