If you think that Danone is of French origin you are mistaken. It all started here, in this bar that in the early 1900s was a small dairy factory, opened by a Greek immigrant who began making yogurt, that at the beginning was sold in pharmacies and had success thanks to its alleged healthy virtues. Danone's name derives from the name of the son of fourteen years, Daniel.
Of the original settlement is almost nothing left, but in its place now stands this bar / old grocery where you can buy products such as cheese and salami, or sit at the tables and sample the local specialty, hot chocolate made with house made cream, chocolate milk, yogurt, Catalan cream, barley (which has nothing to do with the common Italian barley, to be tested). On the walls there are numerous vintage photos that testify the various steps of the brand Danone.
Open from 9:00 to 13:30, and 17:00 to 20:30, closed on Mondays and holidays.
