Reviews on Saint Club

Saint Michel et Saint Gudule (Cathedralis SS. Michaelis et Gudulae, in St. Michael and St. Gudula) is located in Brussels at the top of a hill and appears to the eye of visitors arriving from the Rue de la Montagne.

Mixture of styles, from Romanesque to Gothic to Baroque, it is tall and slender with two towers that frame the fifteenth century facade. The interior of the Cathedral of St. Michael is characterized by a large, high nave with vaulted ceilings, separate from the side by massive columns with capitals decorated with great leaves in Brabant style.

Very bright thanks to large windows that depict stories from the sixteenth century, including the Last Judgement and the Miracle of the Blessed Sacrament.

Noteworthy is the heavy baroque pulpit and the new organ designed in 1997, with 63 records broken on four keys.
