Reviews on Saint Club

Designed by Joseph Poealert, architect of the Palace of Justice, Eglise Notre Dame de Laeken (Church of Notre Dame of Laeken) was built in 1854 during the reign of Leopold I, to commemorate the death of his wife Marie-Louise d'Orleans. Inside there is the crypt where they buried the Kings of Belgium.

During the summer you can attend concerts in this beautiful Gothic church: it soars into the sky with its spire, the front porch with double and triangular pediments that reflect the internal division into three naves, the twin towers the sides, and the central tower with steps from the high, narrow windows that decrease in numbers going up.

The organ of the Eglise Notre Dame de Laeken was renovated in 1975 and is three times more powerful than the one of the cathedral of Antwerp.
