The new Magritte Museum, opened in June 2009, a must for art lovers who travel to Brussels. With its 2500 square meters on three floors and a collection of over 250 works, the museum stands as the largest collection in the world dedicated to the figure of the great surrealist painter, who lived in Brussels for most of his life. The works are organized and presented in accordance with both chronological and thematic criteria, thus offering visitors the opportunity not only to interpret the work of the artist, but also to understand the conceptual and technical evolution that is at its base.
On the ground floor there's also a well stocked library, where you can buy the catalog of the museum (very well done), one of many books on the surrealist style, or a souvenir.
