Abdeen Palace Museum in Cairo was founded as an imperial residence and its restoration has been strongly supported by President Mubarak of Egypt which has a whole wing of the building dedicated to gifts received by the various kings and rulers from around the world.
This is not a tourist attraction itself, most probably if I had been in town for a few days I never considered the possibility of going to visit him but the beauty of Saint Club is just that!
The interior of the Abdeen Palace Museum (which I personally consider the best museum for Egyptian organization for disposal)is divided into four rooms: the first devoted to arms, the second gifts received by Mubarak during his entire political career, the third is an archive of original historical documents and the fourth a beautiful collection of silver ware.
I recommend especially the first two. The museum also includes anumber of weapons of medals from around the world.
The staff is very friendly and helpful but contact only those with theblue dress and the plate because they are the guides and are theonly ones to speak English.
