The Ice Stadium of Cortina was built between 1952 and 1955 to host the 1956 WinterOlympics. Inside there is a skating rink working both in summer and winter. Also in theareas of the stadium there is a children's playground, a bar and a solarium.

In recent years there have been renovations of the stadium to be able to make itcovered.
Several demonstrations are conducted on ice: from hockey up to the figure skating,curling, etc..

During the holiday season the Ice Stadium hosts an evening "Ice Disco Dance" a disco on ice where anyone can try dancing to the beat of the latest musical hits.
