The restaurant Toto is located in the heart of the historic center of Florence fbetween Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Della Signoria in the palace Buondelmonti which dates back to the 1300.
Here the wool market was held until, in the rising of the Ciompi, was burned by the people. In the early 900's was donated to the Opera Pia Cucine Popolari (which still owns the walls) as a kitchen for poor people.
Destroyed by the tragic flood of 1966, it was restored and given the current management that has been operating for 40 years.
Our specialties are the grilled meats and especially the Florentine steak.
All meats are top quality, cooked strictly on wood and charcoal or lava rock to not alter the taste.
The Tuscan cuisine is simple and authentic.
