Next to the Capilla Real, there is the immense Cathedral of Granada in Gothic-Renaissance style.
Works began in 1521, were directed by Diego de Siloé from 1528 to 1563 and ended only inthe eighteenth century.
The main facade overlooking Plaza de Pasiegas and is characterized by four heavy buttresses that form three large arched portals. In the Capilla Mayor, all decorated with frescoes, stand the statues of King Christian prayer, dating from the the seventeenth century and located on either side of the main altar .
