In Kalsa district, one of the oldest in the city, stands the Mikalsa, famous for being the first 'bar à bière' of Sicily, with a bid of about one hundred rare and sought-after beers from all over the world.
The idea, by Marianna Raneri and Lorenzo Quattrocchi, was to sell beer, especially Belgian origin, such as the prestigious Westvleteren, to promote and develop a real culture of beer and to realize the right coupled with delicious dishes such as toasted bread or cold meats, cheese, cheese fondue and the famous Pistocchi cake, sweet Florence of fine chocolate.
Accompanying this lively atmosphere is the environment itself: the lights dimmed, the walls with strong colors, sofas and armchair make a perfect backdrop for photographic exhibitions and musical performances.
