The place where stands the church of San Michele Arcangelo was always dedicated to the cult already in the Etruscan age. The building is about the fifth-sixth century and is among the oldest churches in Italy.
The plan is circular. Inside the space is bounded by 16 columns that probably first belonged to a Roman building.
Two chapels adjacent to the plant gives the building a structure similar to the Greek cross.
Inside, hidden among the frescoes and columns, there are some crosses licenses (ie the cross inscribed in a circle).
This symbol was linked to the sphere of the Templars.
In addition, the entrance is a pentagram, a symbol that was tied to the worship of Venus and black magic.
